II. <br /> <br />C. General Responsibilities <br /> <br />To advise the Council on any other matta.:s regardin~ land use ar.d <br />comprehensive ptannin§ as may be requested. <br /> <br />'9 <br /> <br />To report to the Council at the advisory committee's own <br />discretion on any other matters which it feels are necessary to <br />implement the Land Planning and Metro Significance laws. <br /> <br />1V[E~ ERSttIP <br /> <br />Members. The committee shah be appointed by the Council in <br />accordance with law and Council policy and shall be composed of a <br />chairperson, at least 16 members, one from each Council district, and as <br />many additional members as_are necessary to provide representation <br />from each metropolitan county. At least one-half of the members shall <br />be elected officials of local governmental units. <br /> <br />Terms. Members shall be appointed for the same period as the term of <br />the Council member for the district in which the member resides. In <br />the event a Council member resigns prior to the expkation of his/her <br />full term, the Land Committee member appointed from that district may <br />continue to serve until the expiration of the full term of the resigning <br />Council member. <br /> <br />C. Officers: <br /> <br />Chairperson. The Chairperson shall be appointed by and serve at <br />the pleasure of the Council Chair as a voting member of the Land <br />Committee for a two-year term and may be reappointed for <br />additional two-year terms. The Chairperson shall preside at all <br />meetings of the committee and shall have such duties and <br />respons~ilities as are normally attendant upon that office and as <br />are specifically prescribed by these bylaws, applicable laws and <br />regulations, and as are specifically delegated or assigned by the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson. The Chairperson shall name a vice chairperson <br />from among Land Committee members subject to the approval by <br />the committee. The vice chairperson shall act for the chairperson <br />during his/her temporary absence or disability.. The term of the <br />vice chairperson shall be one year commencing at the first meeting <br />in January. <br /> <br />Secretary. The secretary shall be a designated Council' employee <br />and shall have no participatory role in the activities of the <br />committee. It shall be the secretary's responsibility to keep a <br /> <br /> <br />
