The City Council has scheduled a work session for the primary
purposes of discussing the proposed 2000 Budget. Attached to the Weekly Update is a proposed
agenda for the Work Session scheduled for September 8, 1999 at 5:00 p.m. Council will note
the change in the time for the meeting to 5:00 p.m. The reason for the change is that the financial
consultant, who will be making a presentation, will have to leave at 6:00 p.m. and will need a full
hour to provide this presentation. Box lunches will be provided.

Revenue Projection Study. Sharon Klumpp of Springsted Financial Advisors will be
presenting the Revenue Projection Study, which had been authorized by the City Council.
The report should be a good preview to begin the discussion of the 2000 Budget process.
Included in the Weekly Update packet is the revenue projection study perfornted by
Springsted FinancialAdvisors. Councilmembers are asked to bring their copy of the
Revenue Projection Study to the work session.

Bonding Information. Finance Officer Diana Lund has been working with the Financial
Consultant to gather information about Capital Equipment Notes and the possibility of
bonding for the Fire Station II project. This information: will be part of the staff
recommendations to the proposed 2000 Budget.
