RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> BODY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Electric Priming Control <br />PRIMING CONTROL <br /> <br />(WTRS) <br /> <br />There shall be a push button priming actuating control installed at the operator's control panel. <br />The priming valve shall be a manual/electric solenoid style. <br /> <br />Master Drain Valve <br />MASTER DRAIN SYSTEM <br /> <br />There shall be a manifold type drain valve installed in the pump compartment. All pump drains <br />shall be connected to the master drain valve. The drain valve shall be controlled on the pump <br />panel. The control shall be a hand wheel knob marked "open" and "closed". <br /> <br />Suction Relief Valve <br />SUCTION RELIEF VALVE <br /> <br />A suction relief valve with a minimum range of pressure adjustment form 75 to 250 PSI shall be <br />furnished, and installed inside pump compartment piped to the suction side of specified fire <br />pump. Dump valve shall be of the pre-set bypass design, to allow for maximum 125 PSI suction <br />inlet pressure. Relief valve shall be installed inside the pump compartment, easily accessible for <br />future adjustment of bypass pressure. The unloader pipe shall be plumbed to the atmosphere and <br />dump on the opposite side of the pump operator. Relief valve shall not be capped. There shall <br />be a placard stating "DO NOT CAP" FURNISHED. (NFPA 1901) <br /> <br />Two 6" Steamer Inlets <br /> <br />STEAMERS <br /> <br />There shall be Two - 6" steamer inlets with chrome plated caps furnished. Steamer inlets shall <br />be located One on right side and One on left side of pump panel to provide easy connection for <br />drafting or for hydrant connection. The suction inlets shall have 6" NST threads. Suction inlets <br />shall have a removable strainer provided inside each external inlet, with a - 6" long handled <br />chrome cap.
