RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> BODY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />TOP MOUNT OPERATOR'S PANEL <br /> <br />Top Mount Control Area panel shall be the above pump with a minimum walkway of 24" <br />located directly in front of the pump. There shall be a steel sub-frame furnished for pump <br />mounting. The pump house shall be fabricated of the same material as the body. The front <br />incline surface of the command panel shall have control levers for the discharge valves, primer <br />control, and relief valve control. Ali control handles at the top control area shall be CLASS 1 or <br />equivalent twist lock. There shall be three Weldon 2025 or equivalent lights furnished below a <br />shielded panel on the top operators panel. There shall be two Weldon 2025 or equivalent lights <br />furnished on each side of the pump operators panel. There shall be two 4" round lights (Arrow <br />#t30) furnished in the lower portion of the command module to illuminate the walkway (except <br />with speedlays in the walkway area). There shall be a switch on each side of the pump <br />compartment to turn all of the panel lights on or off. The bottom of the gauge panel shall be <br />hinged on the back side for access to the gauges. The hinged cover shall have two "T" handle <br />vise action style latches, one on each side. Valve control levers SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY <br />ADJACENT and instruments shall be neatly arranged for easy access and visible from the <br />operator's location. The side pump panels shall be removable to allow service or removal of the <br />pump without the use of cutting devices and without damaging the body. Top mount control <br />area assembly shall be spaced i/2" from the running boards to allow water and debris to pass <br />through. A vertical door with two D-Ring handles below the operator's control station shall be <br />fabricated of bright aluminum treadplate and easily removable for pump training and service. <br /> <br />Two I8" vertical hand rails with rubber grips at the entrance to the walkway, one on each side of <br />apparatus on the pump compartment. <br /> <br />PUMP COMPARTMENT WIDTH <br /> <br />The pump compartment shall be as narrow as possible, from the front of the truck to the rear. <br /> <br />24" Walkway <br />WALKWAY <br /> <br />The walkway area ahead of the top control operator's panel shall be 24" wide. There shall be a <br />1/2" flex joint between the walkway and the top control pump compartment. <br /> <br />Black Laminol Top control Panel <br />OPERATOR'S CONTROL PANEL MATERIAL <br /> <br />The surface of the operator's control and gauge panel shall be manufactured from heavy duty <br />non-glare black "Laminol" aluminum, that is capable of withstanding the effects of extreme <br />weather and temperature. <br /> <br />Page 14 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
