RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> BODY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />1/8" Aluminum Treadpalte Trim Package <br />ALUMINUM TREAD PLATE TRIM <br /> <br />All treadplate specified and utilized in an overlay capacity shall be bright type 3003 aluminum <br />treadplate. <br /> <br />1/8" Rear Step and Running Boards <br />1/8" TREADBRITE PLATFORM STEP AREAS <br /> <br />The running boards, rub rails, and rear step shall be fabricated of 1/8" aluminum tread plate. The <br />rear step/trail board shall be a minimum of 99" wide. The angle of departure shall be no less <br />than 8 degrees at the rear of the apparatus when fully loaded. CNFPA 1901 - 8-3.2.3) <br /> <br />Rubrail - Aluminum Treadplate <br /> <br />TREADBRITE RUB RAILS <br /> <br />The bottom edge of the compartments shall be trimmed with bright aluminum treadplate rub <br />rails. The rub rail shall be bolted in place With stainless steel bolts and locking nuts, making the <br />rub rails easily replaceable. <br /> <br />Grab Rails, Hand Rails and Rear Step <br />GRAB RAIL STANDARDS <br /> <br />Grab rails shall be no less than 1 1/4" in diameter and be of extruded aluminum with a rubber <br />grip. All grab rails shall have a minimum of 2" clearance between the grab rail and any other <br />surface. All grab rail brackets shall be stainless steel or chrome and bolted on with stainless steel <br />bolts and nuts. There shall be a barrier installed between the body and the grab rail bracket to <br />prevent electrolysis. CNFPA 1901 11-8) <br /> <br />42" Vertical Hand Rail on Each Rear Fin <br />BEAVER TAIL GRAB RAILS <br /> <br />There shall be a forty-two inch (42") hand rail furnished on the fin of each rear beaver tail. <br /> <br />Horizontal Hand Rail Below Hosebed <br />GRAB RAIL BELOW HOSE BED <br /> <br />There shall be a horizontal hand rail furnished below the hose bed. <br /> <br />Page 23 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
