RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT
BODY SPECIFICATIONS

Outlet Style
OUTLET STYLE

The 110 or 110/220 volt electrical outlets shall be NEMA configuration

Hannay ECR-I600 Elec Cord Reel w/250' 10-3

ELECTRIC CORD REEL

There shall be a Hannay ECR-1600 or equivalent series electric rewind cord reel furnished and
installed on the apparatus, the reel shall be equipped with 250' of 10/3 S.O. cord with cable stop
and cord end. There shall be a Circle D P-51G outlet box. There will also be a four way roller
assembly installed for the reel.

Paint Specifications
PAINT SPECIFICATIONS

All bright metal fittings, if unavailable in stainless steel, shall be heavily chrome plated.

Critical body and subframe area which cannot be primed after assembly shall be pre-painted.

All welded metal surfaces shall be ground to a smooth surface prior to a degreasing and high
pressure, high temperature phosphatizing process, the entire surface shall then be sprayed with a
non-chromate sealing compound to prevent formulation of stains or flash rust on previously
phosphatized parts.

The paint applied to the apparatus shall be PPG Industries Delta (Low VOC compliant
polyurethane) (or equivalent) over DP 40/DP401 Epoxy Primer and be a solvent and stain
resistant aliphatic polyurethane coating system with ultraviolet light resistance. These coatings
shall be resistant to penetration and staining by paints and markers commonly used for graffiti.

The coating shall be an infra red, baked air dry, two component aliphatic polyester polyurethane
enamel. The coatings shall provide full gloss finished suitable for application by high-pressure
airless or conventional low pressure air atomizing spray.

The coating shall have excellent hardness, abrasion resistance, gloss retention, flexibility, ship
resistance and adhesion. The coating shall also exhibit excellent resistance to humidity,
corrosive atmosphere, mineral and organic acids, alkalies, solvents, detergents and typical transit
vehicle fuel, lubricants and hydraulic fluids. The coating system must be able to withstand
repeated cleaning and graffiti removal by appropriate cleaning agents.

The finish coating shall be applied over a two component corrosion resistant epoxy primer which
has demonstrated cross hatch compatibility with the two component top coats and meet high
performance and resistance requirements.
