Multiple dwellings § 8.61 <br /> <br />are not occupied by the owner of record and the address of the <br />owner of record is unknown, service on the owner of record may <br />be had by posting a copy of the notice on the premises. If the <br />exterior finish is not cornleted within 30 days of the date of <br />issuance of said notice, the city official issuing said notice shall <br />issue a code violation citation to the notified owner of record. <br /> <br />Penalty: If, after such service of notice, the party or parties fail to <br />complete the exterior f'mish of said structure(s), the City Council <br />may cause the exterior finish of said structure(s) to be completed at <br />the expense of the City and recover such expenditure, plus an <br />additional 25°A, either by civil action against the person or persons <br />served; or if such service has been had upon the owner or <br />occupant, by ordering the Administrator to extend such sum, plus <br />25% as a special tax against the property upon which the <br />incomplete exterior f'mish existed and to certify the same to the <br />County Auditor for collection in the manner as taxes and special <br />assessments are certified and collected. And/or any person <br />violating anY provision of this subdivision is guilty of a <br />misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine or <br />imprisonment or both. <br /> <br />Printed 03/24/99 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
