PROPOSED ORDINANCE #99-0 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 8 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE BUILDING AND HOUSING CHAPTER AND CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDMSION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8.01 "BUILDING CODE" OF CHAPTER 8 AND SECTION 9.11.01 "GENERAL REQUIREMENTS" OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT Section 8.01.01 (Building Code), Section 8.02.01 (Organization and Enforcment), Section 8.01.03 (Fees) shall be amended to read as follows: 8.01.01 Building Code. The current Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 16B.59 through 16B.73, one copy of which is on file in the Municipal Center, is hereby adopted as the Building Code for the City. Such Code is hereby incorporated in this City Code as completely as if set out in full. In the event there are optional provisions of the code, by recommendation of the Building Official, the City Council may adopt the optional provisions by resolution. Subdivision 1. The following portions of the State Building Code shall not be administered by the City: 1305.0020, Subpart 2:3,' Division III, CABO One & Two Family Dwelling Code; Appendix Chapter 33, Excavation and Grading. 1306, Special Fire Protection Systems. 8.01.02 Organization and Enforcement. The organization of the Building Department and enforcement, of the Code shall be as established by the Uniform Building Code as adopted by~ the State of Minnesota. The Code shall be enforced within the incorporated limits of the City, and extraterritorial limits permitted by Minnesota Statutes, 16B.62. The Building Department shall be the Building Code Department of the City. The Administrative Authority shall be a State Certified "Building Official". 8.01.03 Fees.
