Table 5
indicates the number of households age 55 and older for the Study Areas and for Ramsey as well as the
estimated 1997 households and projected households for the year 2002.

The Market Study Areas senior household base (55 and Over) has increased by 1,299 households or 39.3
percent over the past seven years from 3,305 in 1990 to 4,604 in 1997. Ramsey's senior households have
increased by 630 persons or 170 percent from 372 in 1990 to 1,002 in 1997. This is a very substantial
increase.

The Study Areas senior households are projected to continue to grow from 1997 to 2002 with a projected
increase of 1,508 households or 32.8 percent from 4,604 in 1997 to 6,112 in 2002. Ramsey's senior
households are projected to increase from 1,002 in 1997 to 1,677 in 2002 which is an increase of 675
households or 67.4 percent.

Community Partners Research, Inc. 16
