Rise vehicles transport people to over 20 job sites in the community, some as close as Pizza Hut <br />in Spring Lake Park and others as far as Cater Air in Bloomington. Many Rise clients depend on <br />our transportation system and have no other options. Two of the vans Rise uses each day have <br />over 200,000 miles on them and need to be replaced. <br /> <br />Rise is seeking financial support from the Anoka County CDBG program because government <br />funding Rise receives for program service fees has been significantly reduced this year and does <br />not cover funding of capital equipment or other program-related items. <br /> <br />proposed Budget for CDBG Funds <br /> <br />The total cost of a 15-passenger van and one with a chair is $55,000. All CDBG funds approved <br />for Rise by the City of Ramsey will be used toward the purchase of the replacement vans. <br /> <br />Schedule for Expenditure of CDBG Funds <br /> <br />This is a one year project and the termination date of it is 12/1/97. <br /> <br />Individual Authorized tO Receive CDBG Reimbursement Checks <br /> <br />John J.
