REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALPINE PARK <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey hereby solicits a proposal from your firm for professional services to <br />provide biddable plans and specifications for the development of a new park to be known as <br />Alpine Park. The City has completed a preliminary development plan for the park which is <br />attached. The park development shall include the development of five athletic fields including <br />grading, turf establishment, irrigation, and fencing. The development shall also include the <br />paving and drainage of a parking lot servicing the ball field area. Landscaping beyond turf <br />establishment shall not be a part of the scope of services. The scope of work will also include <br />grading an area east of the active athletic field area in general conformance with the preliminary <br />plan. This grading is intended to establish additional wetland area. The edge of the existing <br />wetland shall be delineated and /ts extent documented on the construction documents. The <br />grading work in this area does not need to balance between cuts and fills, however, areas for <br />stockpiling surplus organic and granular soils must be specified. <br /> <br />The consultant will be asked to survey and design the improvements, prepare plans and <br />specifications, provide project management, and survey and perform inspections throughout the <br />construction. <br /> <br />Basic Engineering Services: <br /> <br />The consultant shall provide the following basic engineering services: <br /> <br />· Review the prelim/nary development plans. <br />· Prepare plans and specifications for the work. <br />· Attend two meeting with City of Ramsey representatives. <br />· Prepare necessary submittal information to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the <br /> Department of Health, and Metropolitan Council Wastewater Division. <br />· Prepare final cost estimate. <br />· Solicit and obtain bids. <br />· Provide project observation by a registered professional engineer. <br />· Review shop drawings and change orders, prepare and certify payment requests. <br /> <br />Technical Engineering Services: <br /> <br />The consultant shall provide the following technical services: <br /> <br />· Construction staking and project construction inspection. <br />· preparation of as-built plans. <br />· Order necessary soil borings. <br />,, Delineate the existing wetland. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I, <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> ! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
