~,UUq City Engineer Jankowsld indicated the haul roads to be used during excavation on the map. Daring mining activity, tim equipment will be located on Phase 9 of the applicant's submittal. In the proposed Conditional Use PermiL the City has indicated that only the equipment associated with removal of the soil material can be used during this operation. No processing equipment shall be associated with this activity. When Phase 9 is mined, the equipment area will be located on Phase 10. Mr. Knrak agreed to'build a lS0-foot buffer area on the Fox Knoll boundary that will include trees and seed. I-~ plans to complete the buffer before the yards are done in the mbdivision. Mr. Kurak stated that he would like to change his request for a Conditional Use Permit to less than 40 acres. ~ measurement is 39 acres. Sunfish Lake and the wetland will be Iet'c with a significant amount of trees. Mr. JetTy Ameson, 5851 147th La_ne, asked if the wetland would be disturbed. Mr. I<.urak answered, no. He added that he has put in a request to the DN'R to build duck ponds in the wetland but has not had a response. City Engineer lankowski asked the footage of the buffer to the wetland. Mr. Kurak answ'e.~e, cl, 150 feet. There is a 25-foot high hill which is very steep. It will be reduced and with trees on the side of the hil~, the wetland will not be seen. There is a significant amount of mature rrmrsh vegetation along the wetland that extends about 100 feet. Chairperson Bawden c~ed a recess at 7:40 p.m. The electrical power was out due to a severe thunderstorm. This publ/c hearing was continued to July 7, 1997, as the meting was postponed due to the power outage.
