He stated there is a shoreland <br />protection zone along Sunfish Lake but not a similar protection zone along Weltand ]1147, the <br />wetland to the east. The Shoreland Zoning Ordinance prohibits clear cutting of vegetation and any <br />cutting that occurs must be one so structures, vehicles, etc. will nat be visible when viewed from the <br />body of water (Sunfish Lake). He noted there is substantial tree cutting that will occur within the <br />1,000 feet but the share of Sunfish Lake has a steep slope and is heavily wooded. It wgl remain so <br />when viewed from the lake, there will not be buildings, structures, or vehicles viewed from the lake. <br />Therefore, he believes the prapose.d tree removal is within conformance with the Shoreland <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/July 7, 1997 <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br />F, UUI <br /> <br /> <br />
