Nagl believes the Commission should send them a <br />check for the total amount billed along with a written statement that <br />no more funds can be expected in the form of lobbying relief money. <br />The Association can not be ask for more than the stated amount for <br />dues. Jacobson believes that the subject should be brought up at the <br />budget meeting, because the Committee can determine the effect on the <br />overall budget. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Jacobson, seconded by Volk TO PRESENT <br />THE MACTA DUES STRUCTURE TO THE BUDGET COMMITTEE <br />FOR REVIEW. <br /> <br />8 ayes. 0 nays. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5.3 MEREDITH'S REPORT <br /> <br />It was stated that Meredith currently has 13,2~)0 subscribers, and there <br />has been an increase in the amount of SEGA subscribers, it was also <br />stated that the cable company had a very good month for telephone <br />sales. There was general discussion on the "sale" of the system to <br />Continental Cablevision. <br /> <br />Jerry Cotten voiced his concern on whether or not there would be <br />changes, and if so, what type, when the transfer of ownership takes <br />place. <br /> <br />O'Connell stated his opinion that he believes Continental Cable to be a <br />highly competent company and doesn't foresee any major changes that <br />will effect the system. Continental is the 3rd largest company, and <br />already owns a 35 -40% equity share of Meredith's limited liability <br />company. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS - 6 <br /> <br />6.1 PERSONNEL COMMITFEE REPORT <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee reported on the subject of over-all <br />compensation packages for full-time employees, including wage and <br />benefits. Ryan Schroeder asked that there be a vote taken on the <br />approval of the compensation package detailed in his report to the <br />Commission. During 1996 the Commission's contribution towards <br />health care benefits will be $210.00 per month for eligible employees. <br />The report also recommends that there should also be a 3% wage <br />increase for the full-time producers. <br /> <br /> <br />
