Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #96 -03- <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT ALLOCATION $2,100 <br />FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FOR VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION <br />DINNER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has expressed an interest in formally recognizing the <br />valuable service commission members provide to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that this will be done by the Mayor and City Council <br />hosting an appreciation dinner to carry out this recognition; and <br />WHEREAS, it is anticipated that an event such as this will cost approximately $2,100; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, no funding was provided for in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget <br />for an event such as this; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has the ability to provide funding for this event through a ' <br />re- allocation of the Council Contingency within the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ' <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $2,100 <br />from the Council Contingency Fund for a volunteer appreciation dinner.
