Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #96-05-_ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-19 (UPGRADE OF WELL NO. 1) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council authorized, by motion on March 26, 1996, the preparation <br />of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the upgrading of Well No. 1, bids <br />were received, opened on May 10, 1996, and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following quotes were received <br /> Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br /> Engineer's Estimate <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with in the name of the City of Ramsey for the upgading of Well <br /> No. 1 in the amount of <br /> <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br /> the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br /> next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />__ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 14th day of May, I996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
