That site plan <br />approval is valid for a one year period and Mr. Muller is about to initiate construction. <br />However, he has requested approval of a modification to the site plan that would'allow the <br />project to occur in 2 phases. More than 8,000 square feet of commercial space would be <br />constructed this summer and the remaining 8,000 square feet would be constructed in the <br />1997 construction season, or even later this year if tenants are contracted. <br /> <br />City Staff is: requesting Council approval to modify the Site Plan Development Permit for <br />the Rum River Plaza expansion to allow for a 2 phase project. <br /> <br /> <br />
