temporary connection shall be approved by the City of Anoka and purchased and stored by <br />the City of Ramsey. The meter necessary for measuring the flow from this temporary <br />connection shall be stored at the City of Anoka and installed under the supervision of the <br />City of Anoka Water Department. <br /> <br />OWNERSHIP OF. FACILITY <br /> <br />At the Highway #10 interconnect, the City of Anoka shall own and maintain all distribution <br />piping east of the metering manhole. In addition, the meter utilized at this location shall be <br />purchased by the City of Ramsey, however, it shall be owned and maintained by the City <br />of Anoka. The City of Ramsey shall own and maintain a metering manhole and all <br />distribution piping west of the manhole. Only one-way water flow from the City of Anoka <br />to the City of Ramsey will be provided at this location. One-way flow shall be insured by a <br />double-check, backflow preventer, which shall be owned and maintained by the City of <br />Ramsey. The City of Ramsey shall install the watermain according to an approved design <br />acceptable to the City of Anoka. The cost of the installation, engineering and inspection <br />shall be borne by the City of Ramsey. The City of Anoka shall credit the City of Ramsey, <br />against their water bill, for that portion of the watermain and appurtenances which will be <br />owned by the City of Anoka. This credit is estimated to be $11,473. The actual cost to be <br />the final construction cost plus eight percent for engineering and four percent for <br />inspection. The City of Ramsey shall furnish the City of Anoka a certified copy of the final <br />costs of the watermain installation, engineering arid inspection which will be used to <br />determine the credit allotted to the City of Ramsey. The watermain will be installed and <br />tested according to the City of Anoka's specifications. Upon completion, the City of <br />Ramsey shall furnish the City of Anoka a set of reproducible "as built" of the watermain <br />installation. <br /> <br />ANOKA NEEDS TAKE PRIORITY <br /> <br />In the event an emergency or an unusual condition did occur within the City of Anoka, the <br />City of Ramsey understands that the City of Anoka must first fulfill the needs to its City. <br />For example, a fire in the City of Anoka will be a higher priority water use than a <br />significant fire trod/or domestic water emergency in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />WATER CONSERVATION <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey agrees to implement water conservation measures which, at a <br />minimum, are as stringent as those imposed on the City of Anoka water users during the <br />periods water from the City of Anoka is being purchased. <br /> <br /> t <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br /> <br />
