He commented that, if <br />nothing else, what this should say is that the goal that you set at the last meeting seems that <br />it's achievable - 140 units on 600 acres of land. He stated that townhomes count toward <br />this goal also. <br /> <br />No action was necessary on this item. <br /> <br />Case ~t9: Changes in Economic Development Commission Appointments <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith stated that a vacancy on the Economic <br />Development Commission was advertised in the November/December issue of the Ramsey <br />Resident. Two letters of interest were received and reviewed at the Commission meeting <br />on December 7. One candidate was interviewed on that date and the other on January 4, <br />1996. The terms of Commissioner Sam McGhee and David Kent expire January 31, 1996. <br />The Commission decided at its January 4 meeting to recommend re-appointment of David <br />Kent and against re-appointment of Sam M6Ghee due to his attendance record. As a result <br />of that recommendation, an additional vacancy was created. The EDC is recommending <br />James Rohrer and Judy Roff be appointed to fill the two vacancies. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to re- <br />appoint David Kent to the Economic Development Commission for a term to expire January <br />31, 1998. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmember Beyer, Zimmerman, Beahen <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to not re- <br />appoint Sam McGhee to the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to appoint <br />James A. Rohrer to the Economic Development Commission for a term to expire January <br />31, 1998. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to <br />appoint Judy Roff to the Economic Development.
