Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-09-__ RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 4/96-23 (MCKINLEY STREET TO COMMERCIAL ASPHALT) WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council passed a motion on July 23, 1996, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of McKinley Su:eet to the Commercial Asphalt property, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on September 6, 1996; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received Bidder Amount of Bid Engineer's Estimate :': AND WHEREAS, it appears that is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized, and directed to enter into a contract with in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of McKinley Street to the Commercial Asphalt property in the amount of 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to ail bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and-the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of September, 1996.
