rules ~ outlined in Section 9 of the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department By-Laws and <br />can be terminated for failure to adhere to any rules by the Fire Chief during the <br />probationary period. <br /> <br />Section 10. Dhties of Limited Duty Fire Fighter/Trainee Members and Penalties <br /> <br />1. All members will respond to thirty percent (33%) of all paged calls during a twelve <br /> (12) ~onth period starting with membership date. <br /> <br />2. Any member whose response is below thirty percent (33%) of all paged calls, and <br /> beloW sixty-six percent (66%) of all drills, within a three (3) month period will be <br /> brought before the Chief and Assistant Chief and at which time membership could be <br /> terminated. <br /> <br />3. All applicants must hold a valid MinnesOta Drivers' License and proof of vehicle <br /> insur~a~ce before application will be accepted by the Department. All members will <br /> learn r to drive and operate all fire vehicles and be able to put into service all <br /> equipment used by the Fire Department in a safe manner. <br /> <br />4. Limited Duty Fire Fighter/Trainee Members responding to a paged call must not <br /> occutiy a position on the first two (2) vehicles responding, providing there are <br /> sufficient regular members who can occupy those positions. <br /> <br />5. At th~ end of one (1) year, the member is reviewed by the Chief and Assistant Chief. <br /> If all requirements have been fulfilled, the member is then recommended to become a <br /> regul~ member of the Fire Department. <br /> <br /> 6. In considering any of the above, the Chief and Assistant Chief shall consider <br /> extenuating circumstances, including, but not limited to: work schedules, vacation, <br /> familyor personal illness. <br /> <br />Section 11. Duties of Regular Members and Penalties <br /> <br />1. All members will respond to thirty-three percent (33%) of all paged calls during any <br /> calen~, ar year, reviewed quarterly. <br /> <br /> o <br />2. Any member whose response is below thirty-three percent (33 ¥o) of all paged calls at <br /> the en~t~ of any quarter year will be notified by the Chief and Assistant Chief. The Fire <br /> Department Attendance Policy will govern the action'taken. <br /> <br />3.
