Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />Pending <br /> <br />Pending <br /> <br />Pending <br />Pending <br /> <br />Pending <br /> <br />1/10/~6 <br /> <br />1/23/96 <br /> <br />1/23/96 <br /> <br />1/23/96 <br />1/23/96 <br /> <br />1/23/96 <br /> <br />Regarding the amendment to Chapter 9 of the City Code pertaining to <br />parking and storing vehicles and equipment in residential districts, amend <br />the following: Section 9.11.10, item a, should read "Currently licensed <br />motor vehicles and one unlicensed operable motor vehicle, the primary <br />purpose of which is for private transportation or recreational use may be <br />stored outside provided they are parked on a prepared surface that <br />consists of either bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or prepared <br />gravel or another equivalent surface material that has received the prior <br />approval of the City Administrator or his/her designee." The last <br />sentence under the def'mition of "Motor Vehicle, Private Use" should <br />read "For purposes of this Chapter, private use motor vehicles shall <br />include operable vintage/classic cars and race cars." Add the following <br />definitions under Section 9.02 (Definitions): "Operable Motor <br />Vehicle" - A vehicle that can be presented in a self-propelled <br />condition within 7 days of the City's request for such <br />action. "Prepared Surface" - The entire area plus a one-foot <br />extended perimeter under a vehicle or piece of equipment." <br />The Planning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council <br />approve the amended ordinances amending Chapters 5 and 9 of Ramsey <br />City Code regarding parking and storing vehicles and equipment in <br />residential districts. Forward to City Council. <br /> <br />With regard to the CDBG public hearing - the following motion was made: <br />Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen and Zimmerman will serve on a <br />Committee to recommend the allocation of the available $4,000 and to meet <br />with the County regarding the other. Councilmember Peterson will chair <br />that committee. <br /> <br />Council voted to introduce the ordinance to rezone the proposed plat of <br />Pondview to R-1 Urban Residential. Forward to Council for formal <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Council tabled the request for preliminary plat approval of Pondview; case <br />of Good Value Homes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated he needed some additional information <br />before he could vote in favor of the rezoning of Pondview. The <br />information he requested is as follows: 1) A copy of the Planning <br />Commission meeting minutes when they looked at the rezoning and <br />preliminary plat for Pondview. 2) A copy of the City Council minutes that <br />reflect the City Council desire to have property on the north side of C.R. <br />#116 slated for commercial/industrial development, particularly that 80 <br />acres proposed to be developed as Pondview by Good Value Homes. 3) <br />The percent evaluation of residential versus industrial property in the City <br />of Ramsey. 4) The percent of area slated for residential versus industrial <br />development in Ramsey in comparison with other cities. 5) The City's <br />vision of a relationship between a residential and industrial development. <br />John Peterson agreed to grant an extension for Council's decision to allow <br />for this information to be made available. <br /> <br />Council granted final plat approval to Green Addition.
