Applicant selected should be active in somme type of community event/function. Should not have an ax to grind. Use same iriterviewing/appointment process for all commissions unless charter dictates otherwise. Ail commissions should use same system. More importgnt for Council to have prerogative to appoint/reappoint than to have term limits. No. 6. What criteria do you think are important for applicants to commissions? Interest in the commission's work. Do they attend commission meetings as citizens? Prior knowledge is not as important as a willingness to learn, professional demeanor, being respectful and polite, being cool headed, willing to speak up, ability to disagree and stay friends.- Also need to consider how this person adds to the current mix on the commission.
