Battery replacement will occur during the preventive maintenance inspection once every 2 years for Hennepin County and once every three years for Anoka County for all units maintained by Doradus under this maintenance agreement, including those batteries which may have been replaced since the last scheduled rephcement because of failure. i Battery replacement for un/ts in Hermepin County is scheduled for 1995. The next scheduled bauer3, replacement for units in Anoka County is 1997. -1.1.2 VISUAL INSPECTION-The unit will be visually inspected for damage ~ or signs of deterioration. :1.1.3 PREVENTIYE ACTIONS-The receiver/decoder will be inspected and actions will be taken to assure the continued reliability of the receiver/decoder. '~Except as specifically provided herein Doradus will not be responsible for providing preventive actions or service to the siren or to the electrical service to the unit. 1.1.4 FUNCTIONAL TEST-The unit will be checked for proper operation. .1.5 INSPECTION P..EPORT-Following the inspection visit, Domdus will prepare ma inspection report of the unit, noting condition of the receiver/decoder as well as other pertinent unit clam. This r~epon wLl.I be forwarded to the City immediately if the unit is not then operabl~e or if, in the re2.sonable opinion of the technician conducting such inspection, the unit w/J.l, within the follow/ng 12 month period, become inoperable; otherwise, the report will be forwarded to ;the City within 45 days following such/nspections. 1.2 ~GENCY SERVICE-Doraflus will provide emergency service to the receiver/decoder units on the following terms: 1.2.1 RESPONSE TI/v~-Doradus will respond to a need for emergency service based upon either the results of a routine test maalysis (see parag-raph 1.3 below) or a written request from the City stating the apparent faLlure of a unit. .4. request stating the suspected problem with the unit, sent to Doradus by the City, by facsimile machine, the receipt of which.request is acknowledged by Doradus iither by telephone or by facsimile machine, .shall be deemed to be ~n writing if such report is substantially in the io~m5 of'Attachment 2. use its best efforts to inspect, "and repair the ur2ts in a timely Doradus will manner.
