By: James Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator Background: The owner of Iot 15, Block 1, Northfork Point Addition has requested the vacation of the traditional 5-fo~.! wide drainage and utility easements on both sides of the western lot line. The property owner ~as applied for and received an Administrative Subdivision to move the lot line to the west to facili~ate a retaining wall. The owners of both the affected properties have provided new drainage anal utility easements along the newly created lot line. Enclosed for your review is the following inf~maation: 1) Public hearing notice 2) S~te location map 3) List of properties notified 4) l>toposed ordinance vacating drainage and utility easements. If this proposed!ordinance is adopted, the City will record the vacation so that deeds for the affected properti~ s will reflect the vacation. The City will also provide a certified copy of the ordinance to the p. roperty owners who are affected by the vacation. Recommendation: The City Staff recommends vacation of the drainage and utility easements described as follows: A ten foCt wide drainage and utility easement, the centerline of which is described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 15, Block 1 of the Northfork Point Addition; thence n~rth 0 degrees 06 minutes 48 seconds east a distance of 410.78 feet and there terminatilig. Council Action: Motion to introdtice Ordinance g95-_ authorizing vacation of the drainage and utility easements dedicated along the western border of Lot 15, Block 1 of Northfork Point Addition.
