Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-05-097 RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED EDUCATION POLICY WHEREAS, the' City of Ramsey City Code has an education policy in the Personnel Policy section stating that any full-time City employee attending and favorably completing continuing education will be eligible for reimbursement of the cost of tuition and materials, providing certain criterion is met; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee and staff reviewed the education policy and recommended two changes for clarification of the policy including the attainment of a "C" or better to be considered as favorable completion and also that the course be approved by the department head; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at their April 18, 1991 meeting, agreed with the recommendation of staff to approve the proposed education policy; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council, at their April 23, 1991 meeting, agreed with the recommendation of the Personnel Committee and approved the proposed education policy. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey conf'mns the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to approve the proposed education policy. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Cich and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: :None and the~following were absent: NOB~ whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14t~ day of May, 1991..
