Johnson stated that they have installed Alpha Channel at the <br />Broc~,klyn Park City hall as a test site. <br /> <br />O'C°nnell suggested that the interactive Alpha Channel be run on <br />Cha~knel 53 for one year as a test. Each city would be assigned a code <br />and ~hat code would bring upa menu strictly pertaining to that city's <br />information. Interactive would also give a record of how many calls <br />wera made for each item. This should give the Commission enough <br />information on whether or not to install interactive equipment in each <br />city hall. <br /> <br />Cott~en asked whether Channel 16 would remain the same. Yes. <br />Cha ~mel 53 would be all text information, ie: agendas for all meetings <br />in AM~ oka; check to see .who is playing each day for Concerts in The <br />Park~ etc. <br /> <br /> Jaco~bson asked who would enter all the data and keep it updated? <br /> Prof'.ably QCTV employees, right now. Schroeder asked whether you <br /> coul~l do off-premise loading? This was not definite, but O'Connell <br /> was pretty sure this could be done. <br /> <br />Tom Creighton arrived. <br /> <br />O'C0~rmell also stated that we could receive interactive for 60 days at no <br />charge. This is win-win situation. The folks at Alpha are so sure that <br />people will enjoy using an interactive sustems that they are willing put <br />in. it was also discussed about using interactive as an advertising tool. <br />Rates could be developed which would help pay for the cost of the <br />system. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Nagel, seconded by M. Motion carried. <br />Meredith (!able Report <br /> <br />Katlli Donnelly-Cohen stated that she should have this year's new <br />construction report to O'Connell by next month. She did state that <br />mosl~ of the new construction will be in the QCCCC area. <br /> <br />She Wanted to explain the 22% abandonment calls received on March <br />13th, A squirrel had gotten under the conduit and ate away the fiber <br /> <br /> <br />
