I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />NageI suggested putting a meeting together with our legislatures, after <br />this session is over, and going over the numbers with them. <br /> <br />BOb Vose stated that the League of Minnesota Cities has retained a <br />lobbyist/consultant to follow future amendments and should provide <br />a ;better update that previously received. <br /> <br />5.3 <br /> <br />O'Connell pointed out the information that other Cable Commissions <br />have contributed towards the legislation account but noted that the <br />total did not include QCCCC's, $3,500, or Ramsey/Washington's <br />contributions. The total should be approximately $50,000 in <br />contributions to the League legal fund. <br /> <br />Meredith Cable Report <br /> <br />Kathi Donnelly-Cohen pointed out a net gain of 156 subscribers this <br />month. The telephone answering percentage had an error. On the <br />week ending April 21, 1995 the percentage answered should be 92.5. <br /> <br />O'Cormell handed out a follow-up letter dated May 17, 1995 showing <br />additional changes regarding new programs. WCCO weather channel <br />was canceled and Meredith duplicated it until May 1 and now has the <br />History Channel on #38. Meredith lost their petition with the FCC and <br /> ust air Channel 41- KXLI from St. Cloud and will remove the <br /> ostalgia channel. <br /> <br />Home and Garden will start June 30th. This channel should be <br />beneficial for men as well as women. It carried home improvements <br />along with gardening. <br /> <br />Prime Sports will remain on the system. ESPN II will be added <br />August 1st. Bravo will go full-time on August 1st. <br /> <br />Donnelly-Cohen stated that Channel 41-KXLI, currently, will be playing <br />re-run shows. Those that have been pulled from other channels. <br /> <br />O'Connell asked whether a copy of the survey Meredith had done <br />regarding subscriber channel interest would be available. Dormelly- <br />COhen will check if it is. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS- 7 <br /> <br />6.1 Renewal Update <br /> <br />O'Connell stated that he had met with Donnelly-Cohen regarding the <br />r~newal. She is in the process of removing and/or highlighting items <br />that are not relevant. O'Connell stated a disk is available for either the <br /> <br /> <br />
