In general, you will note that Anoka Cou~nty encourages the use of its County Highways, particularly those with shoulders a~. bikeways provided that they offer a safe environment for bike travel. In addition yo0 will note that the Anoka County Highway Department does not allow designated bikeways by signing and/or pavement markings on any of its routes, but does allow cities,ltownships and park authorities to designate these routes as bikeways on their maps find brochures provided they meet the intent of the Policy. I have asked the County Attorneys office to investigat the issue further and if we find regulations regarding the equestrian use, we will forw rd those to you. You should also have the City Attorney review this issue. On the issue of advisory signs calling attention to 153rd Avenue NW at Sunfish Lake Boulevard, I will turn the issue over to Jane Pemble, our Traffic Engineer, for review and if warrm Ited, the signs will be installed. Typically the County does not install these signs unless ',here is a specific problem that could be corrected by them.
