Road #116, providing access to Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W., Sunwood Drive N.W., and to a <br />rest area projected to be north of County Road #116, between Ramsey Boulevard N.W. and <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. This green space is intended to provide access from the Peltzer <br />Park area, south to County Road gl 16 and also a green space for this commercial/industrial area. <br />West of Ramsey Bioulevard N.W., the trail will provide movement for the residential properties <br />projected to be hore, access to the river crossing, Hennepin County Park System, and to a <br />community play fi~ld projected for the area east of Armstrong Boulevard N.W. West of County <br />Road #83, the trail will move northward along the Puma Street route to connect to the 153rd <br /> <br />Avenue trail corridor. <br /> <br />153RD AVENUE TRAIL CORRIDOR <br /> <br />This trail corridor'slterminus is the Rum River east of the Rivers Bluff subdivision. This park area <br />will be developed and maintained for passive uses, most notably picnicking and fishing. This area <br />also provides an on~-road A experience to connect to Bear Park and west to the Juniper Ridge trail <br />and further west, the plan includes a trail route connection to the existing Woodland Green park. <br />West of State Highway #47, trail users are afforded a shortcut through the Municipal Center <br />property to a possible neighborhood park there and also Ramsey Elementary School. West of <br />County Road #5, users will discover a route to the elementary school's nature area and a direct <br />route south to the heart of the City's urban area. Between Ramsey Boulevard N.W. and Sunfish <br />Lake Boulevard N.W. is the large park area situated north of a former landfill and south of 153rd <br />Avenue. This park will be a frequent destination for Ramsey residents in their pursuit of athletic <br />and other recreatior~ activities. Through this park, a trail user may move southwesterly to connect <br />to the Peltzer Park area. The next significant destination west is the Greenland Hills wetland area <br />which provides exposure to marshland plant and animal communities and the subdivisions in that <br />vicinity. Near here is Traprock Commons, primarily maintained for equestrian use. West of <br />County Road #83, the trail corridor will be near or under the 153rd Avenue power lines until it <br />reaches the general ~ocation of Lake Itasca and the Lake Itasca Trail System. <br /> <br />/5 <br /> <br /> <br />
