Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />Complete <br />Complete <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />1~/95 <br /> <br />1/B/95 <br /> <br />1/~/95 <br /> <br />1/~/95 <br /> <br />The Planning Commission voted to recommend that City Council <br />grant preliminary plat approval to Northfork Oaks 2nd Addition <br />based upon discussion regarding drainage and contingent upon <br />developer compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated <br />December 28, 1994. Forward to City Council. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission voted to use Terry Hendriksen's I/3/95 <br />draft of the transportation plan update, item #1 entitled "Benefits of <br />the Planning Commission Alternative" as their formal <br />recommendation for land use and transportation. Amend the third <br />paragraph to include that a grade-separated crossing of the railroad <br />tracks is mandatory. Forward to City Council. Notify the Planning <br />Commissioners of the date this goes to Council. Council will be <br />holding a workshop sometime after February 14 to <br />select preferred option for Land Sue and <br />Transportation. Public Hearing will be March 21, <br />1995. <br /> <br />Revise the Recommendation for Land Use and Transportation map <br />as follows: (1) Delete the commemial area in the northern part of <br />the City on Armstrong Boulevard. (2) Change the depiction of the <br />Gun Club to "Quasi-Public Open Space." (3) Include the 20 acres <br />of commercial property on the east boundary of the City which was <br />missing. (4) Display Sunwood Drive accurately. Forward to City <br />Council along with the written recommendation. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission directed the following changes be made <br />to the portion of Terry Hendriksen's 1/3/95 draft of the <br />transportation plan update, entitled Shortcomings of the EDC Plan: <br />Delete the last sentence of the first paragraph. The last sentence of <br />item 1 should read "However, he didn't use the Planning <br />Commission proposal, and his comparison contains many <br />inaccurate costs and comparisons." Item 2 should read "The West <br />alternative is actually closer to the midpoint between Highway 101 <br />and 169 river crossings and central to what would become a major <br />retail/commercial area than the east location." The third and fourth <br />sentences of item 3 should read "The residential zoning potential <br />will be replaced by significantly greater commercial development <br />potential. Ramsey should encourage Commercial development <br />because it pays four times the tax revenue of residential <br />development." Submit an amended document, which is to include <br />"Shortcomings of the EDC Plan" (as amended) and "Discrepancies <br />in Gromberg's Report," to City Council as a memorandum from the <br />Land Use/Transportation Plan Subcommittee.
