While we recognize that this results in a rather wide road corridor for Principle Arterials and Minor Arterials A Routes, please bear in mind that these routes must carry significan~ portions of the traffic in Anoka County and access poi.nts to these routes must be l~mited so that the routes can function in the capacity of mowng traffic. Another important factor in the Function of Roadways is the number of intersecting streets. Long r~nge planning should be done to limit the number of intersections to the spacing shown 6~n the attached policy. For Collector ..Routes and below, we are requesting 50 feet of right-of-way from centerline in urban areas and 60 feet of right-of-way from centerline in rural areas. In the case of t~oth Minor Arterial B's as well as Collectors and below, the building setbacks as reqdired by local ordinances should be measured from the right-of-way line as proposed her~in.
