Farming - Process of operating a farm for the growing and harvesting of crops <br />which shall inclu~te those necessary accessory buildings, related to operating a farm, and the <br />keeping of domestic farm animals. <br /> <br /> Fenice - A fence is defined for the purpose of this City Code as any partition, <br />structure, wall or gate erected as a dividing marker, battier or enclosure. <br /> <br /> Filling - The act of depositing any rock, soil, gravel, sand or any other material. <br /> Fl6od Fringe - That portion of the flood plain outside of the floodway. <br /> <br /> Flo..odplain - The areas adjoining a watercourse which have been or hereafter <br />may be covered by the regional flood. <br /> <br /> Floodway - The channel of the watercourse and those portions of the adjoining <br />flood plain which are reasonably required to carry and discharge the regional flood. <br /> <br /> Floi}r Area Ratio - The total floor area on a zoning lot divided by the total site <br />area of the lot or parcel being developed. <br /> <br /> Floor Area - The sum of the gross horizontal areas of the several floors of a <br />building or buildings measured from the exterior faces of exterior walls or from the centerline of <br />party walls. <br /> <br /> Garage, Primary Residential - A garage attached to the principal building or <br />dwelling, or a detached garage where an attached garage does not exist, intended for the storage <br />of vehicles and items accessory to the principal use of the property. Primary garages, attached or <br />detached, shall be Considered accessory buildings. An attached garage shall not be considered a <br />part of the principal building or dwelling for home occupation purposes. <br /> <br /> Grade - The vertical rise or drop from any fixed horizontal line or point. <br /> Grading - Changing the natural or existing topography of land. <br /> <br /> Home Occupation - Any business or commercial activity that is conducted or <br />petitioned to be conducted from the principal structure on the property that is zoned for <br />residential use, by Persons residing on the property. <br /> <br /> Home Boarding, Commercial - The housing or keeping of horses for profit. <br />Horse boarding will be considered to be commercial when horse care is offered to the general <br />public through any!form of advertising. <br /> <br /> Horse Boarding, Non-commercial - The housing or keeping of horses for <br />friends, neighbors, !and relatives when the charge for such boarding is limited to the actual costs <br />incurred and the person or persons providing the service have not attempted to solicit business <br />through any form df advertising. <br /> <br /> ImEervious Surface - A properly maintained artificial surface through which <br />water cannot easily penetrate. <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
