Assistant Public Works Director Olson commented that staff has found it has been very good to <br />work with MnDOT during this process. He advised of a potential contribution towards the <br />official mapping process. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that at a past work session she had mentioned that it would be <br />beneficial to hold another work session to get the bare facts and provide a more clear <br />understanding for the Council and residents. <br /> <br />Ms. Ruehle stated they will work with staff to determine when that can be scheduled. <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook stated he is excited by the information and timeline that has been <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to adopt Resolution #03~ <br />08-257 Authorizing the Release of an Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) <br />Environmental Review for the Highway 10 Corridor within the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Kurak, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimme~Tnan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Introduce Ordinance and Resolution Authorizing the Transfer of the <br />Westerly 20 Feet of Outlot B Apple Ridge Subdivision to Adjacent Property <br />Owners <br /> <br />It was noted that in May of 2003, the City obtained Outlots B and C of the Apple Ridge <br />Subdivision from US Home at no cost. The purpose of the property transfer of these outlots, <br />which were ah'eady encumbered with drainage and utility easements, was to allow the City to <br />construct a trail adjacent to TH 47. Staff recommends adopting the draft resolution and <br />introducing the ordinance authorizing the transfer of a portion of Outlot B to the adjacent <br />property owners. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #03- <br />09-258, Authorizing the Transfer of the Westerly 20 feet of Outlot B, Apple Ridge Addition and <br />introduce an ordinance authorizing the transfer of certain city owned property located in the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked about preserving a right-of-way for future needs. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the trail is installed and easements are in place. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson stated the trail is in the outlot and an agreement has been <br />reached that they would transfer 20 feet and allow residents to place their fence on the top of the <br />berm. <br /> <br />Councilmember Person asked if all the concerns of the residents have been resolved. <br /> <br />City Council/September 23, 2003 <br /> Page 19 of 41 <br /> <br /> <br />
