Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Elvig, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />REPORT ON JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Police Chief Way reported on the recent Joint Law Enforcement Committee meeting. He stated <br />the two issues dealt with were the record management system and the money remaining from the <br />bond by Anoka County. Since it cannot be returned, it was decided to use the money to upgrade <br />the current system. He invited the Mayor and Council to visit the Police Department to view the <br />newly updated equipment. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked Police Chief Way for his report. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Application for On-Sale and Sunday Intoxicating Liquor <br />.License JR's Outpost; Case of Templer Group, Inc. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:20 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />It was noted that Michael Hartinger, Shane Lindblom, James DuCharme, and Michael Frolik, <br />known as Templer Group, Inc., d/b/a/JR's Outpost, have properly applied for an on-sale and <br />Sunday intoxicating liquor license at 6141 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey. This is the current site of <br />JR's Saloon and is not a request for a new business; it is the sale of a current business. The <br />manager of the establishment will be Michael Hartinger. It was noted that Police Chief Way has <br />completed the background investigation and found everything to be in order. Fire Chief Kapler, <br />however, has not signed off on the application because there are several fire code issues currently <br /> <br />City Council/September 23, 2003 <br /> Page 6 of 41 <br /> <br /> <br />
