A Wasle Managemenl ~omPany

The 50 acre parcel option was negotiated Dy the CiTy as
a fair alternative and replacement for the ski hill
facility in the event that the ski hill could not be
developed. The MPCA's position is that the ski hill
should not be developed. Even if the ski hilt were
developed, there is the risk it would prove to be
economically unviable in which case it could be
abandoned. The recreational parcel on the other hand,
would remain for the City's use in perpetuity.

Based on conversations with representatives working on the landfill
issues at the legislature WM~[i ~ee!s that the passage or lack
thereof of the Super Fund k!%ernatives Bill will likely take place
wi%bin the ne~ t~o weeks. Following this detal-mination ~MY, I would
like to meet with the City for final resolution of the Recreational
Parcel. If you need any additional information please call me at
42!-0540.

Sincerely,

Steve Ko!!odge
General Manager

Don Otter
Ed Moersfeider
