One charge of the park service is to see trails' along the <br />ennrety of tile Mississippi River Corridor. it is expected that within the year, a grant and aid <br />program will ~ developed and advertised to effect this need. <br /> <br />1995 <br /> <br />153rd Avemle Trail Paving - This aforementioned u-ail paving could happen as soon as late <br />1995, and is dependent upon the road conswacrion project. <br /> <br />Lake Itaska Cpark Development - Staff is in the process of soliciting comment for the park's <br />development via feedback from neighborhood mailings. Upon completion of this process, staff <br />will formulat~, a park plan and budget for Commission and Council consideration. Careful <br />consideration 0f adjoining land uses will be needed to ensure this park is developed to it maximum <br />potential. <br /> <br />153rd Avenue Trail Paving - This segment, aisc) proposed to be funded by Minnesota State <br />Aid dollars, may be consnmcw, d concurrent with the new road's u-ail paving between County Road <br />#83 and Variohte Srree~ N.W. The link is intended to provide east/wesl access in addition to <br />connection to the Lake ltaska Park. <br /> <br />Fo>; Park DeVelopment - This park's development is at the same point as the Lake itaska's <br />park development. The Commission will note that there is approximately 158,000 currently un- <br />allocated in the ,Demerest Brook Disu-ict which has been deferred to 1996 to assist with connection <br />of the Fox Ridl~e neighborhood, south to 167th Avenue N.W. This is intended to provide safety <br />improvements iJong State Highway #47, link neighborhoods, and facilitate the beginning of safe <br />navel along Hit~bway #47. <br /> <br />Central Park - <br /> 1./2. Backstop hood for the original four ballfields. The intent here is to minimize the <br /> potential striking of an individual viewing one game by a foul ball from the ballfield <br /> b~:hind that person. This item, and the sideline fences, should be considered safety <br /> ira. provements rather than new park development. These items, and the exmnsion <br /> of sideline fences will be funded from the Autumn Heights Park District's current <br /> umallocated revenues. <br /> <br />Two three-row 15' bleachers for fields #5 and #6. The bleachers will be associated <br />with fields #5 and #6 that were conswacmd in 1990-91. This, and the next two <br />/tams are intended to be funded from interest earnings of the Parks Trust tZund <br />w~thout regard to the district. The rationale being that Cenu-al Park is widely used <br />by~ members throughout the cornmuniry and the individual expenditures are below <br />tha interest earnings accrued on the Parks Trust l::und in any given year. <br /> <br />One five-row 15' bleacher for the baseball field. <br /> <br />ElqCmc service for two destinations. The baseball field and the four original fields, <br />for!utilization of the pitching machine by the Ramsey Youth Athletic Association <br />(RYA.A) and other activities requiring electricity. <br /> <br />River's Bend- <br /> <br />Tha soccer goal with nets is intended to replace..the goal that was borrowed from <br />Ceatral Park to utilize the upper soccer field at CenrraJ Park that is now in suitable <br />conttition. <br /> <br />A 15', five-row bleacher will be utilized in conjunction with the single softball field <br />in ~ver's Bend which is used throughout the year by RYAA and the public. <br /> <br />Z, lq <br /> <br /> <br />
