TASK 3 - WBTLAND DELINEATION AND PERMITS: <br /> <br />RLK wilt delifieate the wetland and prepare the necessary permit applications. This work will be <br />completed wit~ the cooperation of the DNR and the Corps of Engineers. The roadway alignment of <br />Alternative C ~ioes not encroach into the wetlands. However, construction of the roadway is in close <br />proximity of t~e wetland which requires that the wetland be delineated. <br /> <br />The cost for Task 3 is $4,600 (Meeting time will be billed separately) <br /> <br />Shown as add ~!!ernates are Task 4, Bid Activities and Task 5, Construction Observation. RLK would be <br />pleased to complete these tasks in conjunction with the final design. <br /> i' <br />TASK 4 - BID ACTIVITIES: <br /> <br />RLK will assemble and distribute the bidding documents to all prospective bidders. <br /> <br />'We will provide interpretaiio~s and ~swer questions that the bidders have regarding the plans and <br />specifications. ~ <br /> <br />P, LK will atter~d the pre-bid conference (if applicable) and also the bid opening. <br /> <br />We will review the'bids and make a recommendation for award. All bids x~dll be reviewed and tabulated. <br />The cost for Task 4 is $3,370. <br /> <br />TASK 5 - CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION: .. <br /> <br />RUK Will prov!de construction observation to insure that the roadway is constructed in accordance to the <br />plans and specifications. Some of the important responsibiIities and tasks of the inspection will be: <br /> <br />· Review th~ conStrUction work as it progresses and bring to the attention of the contract or any <br /> unsatisfactory or incomplete work. <br /> <br />· Ensure that the contractor has the necessary traffic barricades, signs, and warning devices in place." <br /> <br />· Provide nei:essary staking for grading, storm sewer, utilities and curb and gutter. <br /> <br />· Review cul~ sheets and field check grades, stringlines and forms: <br /> <br />· Schedule COmpaction testing rd insure subgrade material is compacted to the acceptable density as <br /> specif'~ed i~l the specifications.. <br /> <br />· A "Weekl~ Construction Diary and Statement. of Working Days" .will be completed and submitted no <br /> later than ~v¢ calendar days following the work covered by the report. '- .· .. <br /> <br />· On agreed ~upon periodic basis, estimates'of the value of work' completed to date will be prepared <br /> indicating the approximate quantifies of work completed under each contract item. <br /> <br />· Upon accel~tance of the completed Work, the final payment will be processed based on quantities <br /> · ' verified by,final as-built measurements. The contract statement will also include accepted change <br /> order amotints. <br /> <br /> <br />
