TASK 3 - WBTLAND DELINEATION AND PERMITS: RLK wilt delifieate the wetland and prepare the necessary permit applications. This work will be completed wit~ the cooperation of the DNR and the Corps of Engineers. The roadway alignment of Alternative C ~ioes not encroach into the wetlands. However, construction of the roadway is in close proximity of t~e wetland which requires that the wetland be delineated. The cost for Task 3 is $4,600 (Meeting time will be billed separately) Shown as add ~!!ernates are Task 4, Bid Activities and Task 5, Construction Observation. RLK would be pleased to complete these tasks in conjunction with the final design. i' TASK 4 - BID ACTIVITIES: RLK will assemble and distribute the bidding documents to all prospective bidders. 'We will provide interpretaiio~s and ~swer questions that the bidders have regarding the plans and specifications. ~ P, LK will atter~d the pre-bid conference (if applicable) and also the bid opening. We will review the'bids and make a recommendation for award. All bids x~dll be reviewed and tabulated. The cost for Task 4 is $3,370. TASK 5 - CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION: .. RUK Will prov!de construction observation to insure that the roadway is constructed in accordance to the plans and specifications. Some of the important responsibiIities and tasks of the inspection will be: · Review th~ conStrUction work as it progresses and bring to the attention of the contract or any unsatisfactory or incomplete work. · Ensure that the contractor has the necessary traffic barricades, signs, and warning devices in place." · Provide nei:essary staking for grading, storm sewer, utilities and curb and gutter. · Review cul~ sheets and field check grades, stringlines and forms: · Schedule COmpaction testing rd insure subgrade material is compacted to the acceptable density as specif'~ed i~l the specifications.. · A "Weekl~ Construction Diary and Statement. of Working Days" .will be completed and submitted no later than ~v¢ calendar days following the work covered by the report. '- .· .. · On agreed ~upon periodic basis, estimates'of the value of work' completed to date will be prepared indicating the approximate quantifies of work completed under each contract item. · Upon accel~tance of the completed Work, the final payment will be processed based on quantities · ' verified by,final as-built measurements. The contract statement will also include accepted change order amotints.
