Councilmember ~ introduced thc following re~iution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-09- RESOLUTION C'~LLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT IPROJECT /t94-09 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL RIVERWOOD HILLS PLAT 1) WHEREAS,i by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 27. 1994, the City Administrator was di}'ected to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to Riverwood Hills Plat 1: and WHEREAS, i the City Administrator has notified thc City Council thai such proposed assessment has been completed md filed in his office for public inspection. NOW THEREFOI~E, BE IT ,RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOK& COUNT't, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a public!hearing shall be held on October 11, 1994 at '7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center, to pa~s upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affec}cd by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with rcl'crcncc to such asscssm~t. 2) That thc City,Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of thc public hearing on thc proposed asset}smcnt to be published once in thc official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and lle shall state in the notice thc total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause mailed notice 1o bc given to the owner of each parcel described in thc assessment roll nol less than two weeks pri~r to thc hearings. 3) That the owne~ of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of thc assessment by the County[Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30idays from the adoption of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the Citl/ the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 bf thc year in which such payment is made. ;Such payment must be made bcforc November 15 ~r imerest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year.
