City of Ramsey <br />December 27, 1993 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />The City of Champlin will submit to the Metropolitan <br />Council a Metropolitan Urban Service Area expansion <br />request in early 1994. <br /> <br />City of Dayton. The City of Ramsey is well aware of the <br />potential location of a bridge connecting with the City <br />of Dayton. Dayton has formed a task force to look at <br />this issue and to determine if such a bridge is <br />appropriate for its community and if so, where should it <br />be located. This bridge could reduce traffic congestion <br />on the area regional roadway system. The City of Ramsey <br />will want' to work closely with Dayton on this issue. <br /> <br />City of Oak Grove. There are no immediate land use <br />related issues in the City of Oak Grove. <br /> <br />Burns Township. There are no immediate land use related <br />issues in.Burns. Township. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />City of Elk River. There are currently no specific land <br />uses issues that should be of concern to the City of <br />Ramsey. However, the City of Elk River is currently <br />updating its comprehensive plan and the City of Ramsey <br />may wish to coordinate its planning activities with those <br />of the City of Elk River. <br /> <br />City of Andover. There are currently no specific land <br />use issues with the City of Andover. The City, however, <br />is currently processing a Metropolitan Urban Service <br />Amendment with the Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />There appear to be four land use related issues concerning adjacent <br />local governments: <br /> <br /> 1. The Anoka Enterprise Park and the Possible extension of <br /> McKinley Street. <br /> <br />The potential for future commercial land uses at the <br />intersection of TH 116 and TH 47. <br /> <br />3.
