MINNESOTA MRT MARKETING TOOLBOX <br />What is Explore Minnesota Tourism's Role? <br />Find downloadable marketing <br />support at Explore Minnesota, <br />including : <br />Fact sheets and route <br />information <br />Logos <br />Press release templates <br />Photos <br />Explore Minnesota Tourism may <br />be the primary Minnesota MRT <br />information repository where trip <br />planning will begin. <br />SUMMARY VISION SETTING <br />MRT data to be made available on this MRT website includes: <br />Links to the MnDOT website with digital and printable route <br />maps <br />MRT logo <br />MRT history, timeline, and route designation process <br />MRT logos, fact sheets with route distances, connecting <br />bikeways, miscellaneous facts, and other information <br />MRT updates, detours, and other route adjustments <br />As the primary information source, Explore Minnesota Tourism <br />should also link to information posted on other websites. Important <br />links include: <br />Local and regional partner websites where bicyclists can find <br />detailed information about amenities and attractions, such as <br />regional tourism offices <br />Other state and national MRT websites <br />Bike safety information, rights, and responsibilities (posted by <br />MnDOT) <br />Businesses along the route should be encouraged to routinely <br />communicate updated information to Explore Minnesota. Everyone <br />from local governments, to tour groups, to bicyclists will benefit <br />from a reliable place to find current and correct data. <br />EXPLORE MINNESOTA TOURISM MRT MARKETING PLAN <br />As markets, communication systems, and tourism constantly <br />evolve, the marketing efforts must also be ongoing and responsive. <br />The role of Explore Minnesota in promoting the MRT through a <br />multitude of channels is an extensive responsibility that requires <br />reoccurring communications, promotional events, and data <br />maintenance.
