Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case 03: ~iscussion of Pawn Shops and Auto Dealers Fees <br /> <br />Police Chief ~uspos stated that, as Council directed, he has compiled information on the <br />license fees se[ for pawnshops/second hand goods dealers and automobile dealers. He <br />presented thos~ fees. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding Police and Clerical Staff time with regard to pawn shops, etc. <br />Councilmemb~r Peterson felt that the used auto dealer license fees should be increased. <br />The question vOas raised if consignment shops will be treated the same as the pawn shops. <br /> <br />Council direct~d Chief Auspos to research other cities with regard to consignment shops. <br />This issue will ~e brought back to Council for more discussion. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />~Introduce Proposed Ordinance to Amend City Code <br />~egulations Regarding Signs <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik presented and summarized a proposed ordinance amending the <br />sign regulationS. <br /> <br />Councilmemi:~r Hardin stated he still has concerns about allowing billboards. Discussion <br />ensued regardi~,~g billboards and also allowing banners for advertisement. <br /> <br />Councilmemix[r Hardin felt that the ordinance should be re-examined prior to adoption, <br />however, he s~ted he has no problem with it being introduced. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich suggested the amendments should be made prior to the ordinance <br />introduction. ~ <br /> <br />Motion by Cotineilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to table the <br />introduction o~ the sign ordinance until Staff has had a chance to amend it eliminating <br />billboards. <br /> <br />Motion carriedI Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and Zimmerm,~. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />q dopt Ordinance to Change 154th Avenue N.W. to 154th Lane <br /> .W. in Stanhope Terrace Addition <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated the ordinance to change 154th Avenue N.W. to 154th <br />Lane N.W. wM introduced at the Council meeting of September 14, 1993. <br /> <br />Motion by Coqncflmember Zimmerman and seconded by Counci!rnember Beyer to adopt <br />Ordinance g93~, 14 changing the name of 154th Avenue N.W. in Stanhope Terrace to 154th <br />Lane N.W., e ~f~efive January 1, 1994. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
