APPROVAL OF PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to approve the <br />following: <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing minutes dated July 3, 1990 regarding <br />Good Value Homes, Inc.'s request for preliminary plat approval of Chestnut Pond <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing minutes dated July 3, 1990 regarding Mr. <br />Wayne Davis' request for a conditional use permit to expand a commercial greenhouse in <br />an R-1 Rural Residential District. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing minutes dated July 3, 1990 regarding <br />Good Value Homes, Inc.'s request to rezone the proposed plat of Chestnut Pond Addition <br />from I-1 Industrial to R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />4. Planning and Zoning Commission regular meeting minutes dated July 3, 1990. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br /> <br />City Council special meeting minutes dated June 6, 1990. <br />City Council/Airport Commission joint meeting minutes dated June 6, 1990. <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated June 26, 1990. <br />City Council special meeting minutes dated July 10, 1990. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1; <br /> <br />Request; for preliminary_ plat approval of Chestnut Pond Addition; case of Good <br />Value Homes, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. John Peterson of Good Value Homes, Inc. was present requesting preliminary plat approval <br />of Chestnut Pond Addition. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission proceeded to review the City Engineer's report dated July <br />31, 1990. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson referred to Item #7 of the report and assured the Commission any easements the City <br />requests will be provided, that the street will be named according to the directions of the City staff, <br />profiles of streets and utilities will be provided, and a grading plan will be submitted. Mr. <br />Peterson also asked that the requirement for soil borings be waived. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson and his engineer, Derek Passe, noted that park dedication is being required on 18 lots <br />and questioned whether park dedication is appropriate on the current homestead on the subject <br />property in addition to the 17 new lots being created. The consensus of the Commission was to <br />require dedication of Outlot A as drainage easement in lieu of park dedication on the 18th lot. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to recommend that <br />City Council grant preliminary plat approval to Chestnut Pond Addition contingent upon <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission / August 7, 1990 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
