Brown (Production Design
Products, Inc.):

Chairman Zimmerman explained this case was tabled at the last meeting to allow time to
gather more information and a recommendation from the Engineer. The City Engineer has
indicated that everything appears to be in order at this time and recommends approval.

Chairman Zimmerman reviewed each of the six conditions for approval and asked the applicant
if he is in agreement with them. Mr. Brown stated that he is.

Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to recommend
approval of the site plan for Robert Brown to construct two expansions to the existing building
located at 14161 Basalt Street N.W. Further to require that the applicant comply with Items 1-
6 as contained in the City Engineer's letter dated May 12, 1989.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, Shumway
and LaDue. Voting No: None. Mr.
Banwart agreed with this suggestion but pointed out that some distinction should be made
between this site plan process and the one involved with commercial or industrial
developments which requires a $500.00 escrow for processing. The Commission agreed that
a scaled drawing with aerial photographs and a one time $50 fee would suffice.

Planning & Zoning Commission/May 16, 1989
Page 4 of 8
