Further Discussion: The Commission set a tentative adjournment time of 9:45 p.m. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Hendriksen, Bawden, Shumway and Deemer. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Terry. PUBLIC HEARINGS Chairman Zimmerman adjourned the special meeting at 7:43 p.m. in order to conduct the following public hearing: Proposed amendment to Comprehensive Plan and adoption of 4 in 40 Density Zoning. Chairman Zimmerman called the special meeting back to order at 8:20 p.m. COMMISSION BUSINESS Case #1: Request For Site Plan Review Of Waltek, Inc.; Case Of John Belinski: Mr. John Belinski was present representing Waltek, Inc. and explained the company's immediate need to construct a 3,000 square foot building expansion. The Commission proceeded to review the City Engineer's report dated November 16, 1989. Motion by Commissioner Bawden and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that City Council approve Waltek, Inc.'s site plan to construct an expansion to an existing building and waive the need for a 12 foot rear yard setback variance on the existing structure as a pre-existing condition. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Hendriksen, Shumway, Bawden and Deemer. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Terry. Case #2: Implementation Of "4 In 40 Zoning": As a condition of Metropolitan Council's approval to expand the MUSA, the City is required to implement "4 in 40" acre zoning. Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that City Council approve the proposed amendment to the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance regarding 4 in 40 density.
