Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt
Resolution #90-02-057 waiving One Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-three dollars and
Twenty-three cents ($1,433.23) of City of Ramsey's special assessments for Lot 4, Block
5, Rodeo Hills Estates (PIN: 02-32-25-23-0010).

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich
and Peterson. Voting No: None.

Case #6: CORE Application For Fishing Pier At River's Bend Park:

Mr. Raatikka recalled that on December 12, 1989, City Council voted to keep the CORE
application for a fishing pier at River's Bend Park active. It has been noted that the DNR
prefers projects with a cost sharing feature and on February 13, City Council designated
the $500 donation from Commercial Asphalt and the $500 donation from Danny's
Aluminum to be used as a cost sharing feature in Ramsey's CORE application. City Staff
is inquiring if the City wishes to contribute an additional $1000 to increase the cost sharing
feature of the CORE application.

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt
Resolution #90-02-058 supporting a CORE application for a fishing pier at River's Bend
Park and committing $2,000.00 ($500.00 from Danny's Aluminum, $500 from
Commercial Asphalt and $1000 of City Park Trust Fund) in funds as a local share.

Further Discussion: Councilmember Peterson stated that additional matching funds should
be sought from organizations like Lutheran Brotherhood and certain handicap
organizations.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich
and Peterson. Voting No: None.

The Council recessed at 9:00 p.m.

Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 9:15 p.m.

Case WT: Adopt Resolution Ordering Right-Of-Way Plans For Sunfish
Lake Drive Between Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. and Nowthen
Blvd. N.W.:

Mr. Raatikka stated that the developers of Chestnut Hills and Cedar Hills have petitioned
the City to acquire the appropriate right-of-way for construction of an east/west street from
Sunfish Lake Blvd. NW. to the northwest coruer of Chestnut Hills. In addition, there is
another plat planned along Nowthen Blvd. All of the developers involved are willing to
donate the right-of-way for an east/west street; the only portion of right-of-way remaining
that would have to be purchased is Sunfish Lake Drive, which is currently a private road
and eligible for MSA funding.

Mayor Reimann and Councilmember Peterson were of the opinion that even though MSA
roads are subsidized, the developers are receiving benefit and should be assessed
accordingly.

Mr. Hartley noted that the bulk of the right-of-way will be donated by the developers.

City Council/February 26, 1990
