Mr. Hartley stated that Staffs action plan with respect to a sign ordinance will be included <br />in the Consent Agenda portion of the next City Council agenda. <br /> <br />Case #10: Receive Bids For Central Park Baseball Field Backstop And <br /> Fencing: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that at 11:00 a.m. on May 8, the City received 4 price quotes for <br />improvements at Central Park. Since then, two of the firms called to amend their quotes; <br />Lonny Menard changed their quote from $13,268.00 to $10,920.60 and North Star Fence <br />change their quote from $10,997.65 to $11,889.65. Mr. Raatikka stated that City Attorney <br />Goodrich has indicated that because of the amount of the project the City does not have to <br />follow a formal bid process and in this situation can award the project to the now lowest, <br />responsible bidder. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #90-05-138 accepting price quotes and awarding a contract to Lonny Menard in <br />the amount of $10,920.60 for Central Park backstop and fencing (Project g90-17). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Police Department Office Remodeling And Computer And <br /> Equipment Acquisition: <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos stated that the Police Department has grown and so has the need for <br />additional space. Available space at City Hall has reached a limit and until a decision is <br />made regarding whether or not to expand City Hall, the Police Department is requesting <br />funding to remodel the Police Department to make more efficient use of the existing space. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to authorize an <br />expenditure of $1800.00 for remodeling needs in the Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: Receive Price Quotes For Street Crack Filling 1990; Service <br /> Project #90-1: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the City received four bids for 1990 street crack filling and the low <br />bidder was Bergman Company, Inc. Mr. Raatikka recommended awarding the base bid <br />with alternatives to Bergman Company. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #90-05-139 accepting price quotes for street crack filling and awarding a <br />contract to Bergman Company, Inc. for base bid with alternatives ($13,440) for such <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
