Prior to issuance of any such permit, the <br />zoning authority may require that soil boring tests be done on the proposed <br />site to determine whether or not the site is capable of supporting a <br />conforming sewage treatment system. <br />(3) Any public or private supply of water for domestic purposes must conform to <br />state department of health standards for water quality and the administrative <br />procedures of other applicable local ordinances. <br />(Code 1978, § 9.23.07; Ord. No. 81-04, 8-18-1981; Ord. No. 86-2, 8-25-1986) <br />(f) <br />Placement of structures <br />(1) Structures proposed within a floodplain area shall be consistent with all <br />floodplain management regulations of the city. <br />(2) No structure shall be placed on any slope greater than 12 percent (12 feet <br />vertical rise in 100 feet horizontal distance) unless such structures can be <br />screened. Sewage disposal facilities can be installed so as to comply with the <br />sanitary provisions of section 117 257, subsection (e) of this section and the <br />permit applicant can prove to the zoning authority that any potential erosion <br />or sedimentation problems related to locating such a structure either do not <br />exist, or that adequate measures will be taken to prevent such problems <br />through special construction methods. <br />(Code 1978, § 9.23.08; Ord. No. 86-2, 8-25-1986) <br />2003 Ses.1-7 3KL?29, S► . <br />2004 (g) Subdivision of land. <br />2005 (1) No land shall be subdivided which is determined by the city, or the <br />2006 commissioner of natural resources, to be unsuitable by reason of flooding, <br />2007 inadequate drainage, soil and rock formations with severe limitations for <br />2008 development, severe erosion potential, unfavorable topography, inadequate <br />2009 water supply or sewage treatment capabilities or any other feature likely to be <br />2010 harmful to the health, safety, or welfare of the future residents of the <br />2011 proposed subdivision or the community. Soil percolation rate tests and soil <br />2012 borings shall be required on each proposed subdivision within the Rum <br />2013 Scenic River Land Use District, to establish the suitability of the land for <br />2014 development.
