Councilmembers are not only talking about the problem, but doing something
about. Councilmember Cox stated that he and Councilmember Sorteberg have
donated their personal equipment to the owners of Skelgas to use to pump water
across the highway. Councilmember Cox stated that people couldn't afford to
live in Ramsey if it weren't for the industrial/commercial tax base and that is
why the City promotes that kind of growth. Industrial/commercial properties
pay their own freight as well as that of the residents. There would have been
a terrible water problem in the lower Rum River area if River's Bend developers
hadn't paid for a drainage system there.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to
approve the agenda with the following additions:

Case #5.A Report from Personnel Committee.

Case #26 Mississippi Park acquisition proposal.

Motion carried.
