Catalog Sales And Repair Service For Firearms From Home; Case <br />Of Mr. James Roberts: <br /> <br />Mr. Roberts was present. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adopt Findings of <br />Fact 0138 relating to a request by Mr. James Roberts for a conditional use <br />permit to operate a repair and sale of firearms business from his home. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox noted that he doesn't necessarily agree <br />with all aspects of the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Reimann. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Schlueter. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to deny the <br />request by Mr. James Roberts for a conditional use permit to operate a repair <br />and sale of firearms business from his home at 7441 164th Lane KW. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox noted that EDC is working jointly with <br />Anoka to initiate an incubator facility to assist in the establishment of new <br />businesses in non-residential areas. Councilmember Cox noted that a member of <br />Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission, that lives in the subject neighborhood, <br />voted against the permit request; a neighbor of Mr. Roberts is also opposed due <br />to the possible effects on the unpaved road by additional traffic created by <br />the business. Councilmember Cox stated that Ramsey welcomes new businesses <br />getting their start in private homes, but not the type of operation Mr. Roberts <br />is proposing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Ch~h <br /> Facility; Case Of Trott Brook Gospel Hall: <br /> <br />Representatives of Trott Brook Gospel Hall were present. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0139 relating to a request by Trott Brook Gospel Hall for a <br />conditional use permit to expand the existing church facility. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Representatives from Trott Brook Gospel Hall stated that <br />they have reviewed the findings of fact and have no problem with them. <br />Councilmember Cox noted that this church has been a real asset to the <br />community. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Reimann. Voting No: None.
